Colva Beach

Colva beach is situated in the southern part of Goa. This is a much sought after destination by adventure seekers, nature lovers and fun lovers. There is no entry fee to this beach and it is open all days of the week. This is famous for food pubs, bar and its Portuguese significance. Things to do on Colva beach

This place is famous for our Lady of Mercy Church’, which was built in 1630. You can visit this place to see the beautiful architecture. A religious event ‘Fama of Menino Jesuse’ is celebrated every year on the third Monday of October.

You will also find nearly all the water sports on this beach. You can try your hand at a speedboat riding, parasailing, jet skiing, snorkeling, banana ride and paragliding. People visit this beach not only for adventure, but also for leisure activities. Kids enjoy making sand palaces, whereas sea bathing and walking on the beach is also a common activity.

Nightlife is electrifying as there are several restaurants and bars, which play high music. Music lovers can dance and they will get complimentary drinks. Beach shacks are also open and you can spend your time in their disco.

This beach is also known as the ‘Queen of beaches’ and the surrounding area is comparatively developed. Nearly all the popular brands like KFC, Costa coffee and Club Margarita are there, offering their delicious cuisines.

Nearby attractions are also taking the attention of tourists. You will not find a big market in Colva, but there are small markets, which are offering good stuff. Tourists can visit nearby market to cater their requirements. Local dresses, jewelry, old books, shoes and other stuff is available at economical rates. Margoes Municipal Market and Queen Nagar Market are also offering all the necessary things at cost effective rates.
