St Cajetan Church, Old Goa

St. Cajetan Church is one of the most beautiful Church of Goa and is graciously built with the architectural similar to the St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. It also has the superb example of the Corintan style and is graciously built with the stands in Old Goa and the few things which makes it exemplary with the people visiting it in large numbers and which must view in large number people still flock to see the structure due to these many reasons:

The Church was built by the Italian Monks of the Order of Theatines in 1665 and is crowned with the huge hemisphirical dome which is built just like pattern of Roman Churches and thus people love to visit this structure.

St. Cajetan Church is located at old Goa city, north Goa which was built in 1661. It was design by D. Pedro which was an Italian architect. Although, local people was deny to build this convent and hospital at old Goa city but D. Pedro received a permission from Portugal King. Near of this church also has a Viceregal Palace ruin.
